We are passionate about The CommuniTree Project – the message it sends, the change it offers and the celebration it creates.
The team is Amy, Megan and Meahd and we created this project because of our love for Tasmania and that we feel it is made special by its unique natural environment and the people who call it home. We believe through The CommuniTree Project we connect local people with nature and showcase how diverse groups of people establish ‘roots’ and contribute to making our communities wonderful.

The CommuniTree Project

We were brought together through the Tasmanian Community Fund’s Emerging Community Leaders program of 2017; a program established to nurture and empower emerging leaders within the community sector, which enables them to help their communities thrive. During residentials, we developed this social inclusion initiative that incorporated all of our individual passions, and would also bring about positive change for local communities.
Our pilot program was delivered in the Huon Valley in November 2017 with eleven diverse local organisations and people involved.
Our goal is to see all Tasmanian communities boasting a CommuniTree site!
