My family are also involved in competitive woodchopping where my brother & 2 nephews compete in Stihl Timbersports, I enjoy watching them compete.
My favourite thing about the Geeveston community is that everyone is caring and always willing to help out, whether it be a fundraiser for someone in the community or making sandwiches for the firefighters battling fires in the hot summer.
I love Geeveston's county life and welcoming nature.

Amelia
Geeveston Fire Brigade
My name is Amelia. I am a born & bred Tasmanian originally from Cygnet and now living in Geeveston.
I have been actively involved with Geeveston Fire Brigade since 2010, where I have undertaken many leadership roles including third officer and now currently second officer, which I have been since 2014, as well as the Junior & Cadet Coordinator.
I enjoy being in the fire service because it helps me give back to the community in times of need. We attend fire related incidents as well as Emergency medical and motor vehicle accidents.
My other interests include camping, fishing, country music, family and COWS- I love my pet cow!
My family originated in Cygnet and still live there today- they will never leave Cygnet! I have 3 older brothers and 1 younger sister, my family are involved in the fire service as well- 1 brother & my sister are in the fire service as well as my mum & dad who are social support.
